The first track is an easy-to-follow, guided relaxation process for the body and the mind with peaceful nature sounds in the background. At the end of 10 minutes, you are gently brought out of the relaxation so that you can keep going with your day, feeling refreshed and renewed.
A former corporate salesperson turned yoga teacher, I remember how hard it was running between appointments, meeting the too-often conflicting needs of customers and bosses, work and family, and how difficult it was to find time for myself, especially to relax, or to bring my mind to rest when my head hit the pillow at night.
Yet, relaxation, bringing the mind to rest, is one of the best things we can do for the health of our minds and bodies. In the words of Swami Vishnu Devananda, “Health is wealth, peace of mind is happiness. Yoga shows the way.”
Every day, science is helping to prove the many healing benefits of yoga and meditation. This short relaxation process was developed from the yoga class I teach and is accompanied by the gentle, peaceful sounds of nature.
